Champion sets tree lighting

The seeing eye

CHAMPION TREE LIGHTING: The third annual Champion Township Christmas tree lighting will be 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the township administration building, 240 Marshall Ave. There will be food trucks on site, pictures with Santa, goodie bags, children’s crafts and a cookie table. There also will be a charity raffle with proceeds to support Champion High School scholarships.

SHOE DRIVE: Champion High School is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser Dec. 8 to Feb. 7 to raise funds for various student activities at Champion High School.

Champion High School will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at Champion High School.

All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprises and small business partners.

For more information, contact Rachael Zigarovich, administrative assistant, Champion High School, at rachael.zigarovich@championlocal.org.

HOLIDAY GIFT WRAPPING: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library will offer holiday gift wrapping 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the Garfield conference room. The library will provide wrapping paper, tape and ribbon. Participants are responsible for their own gifts.

Starting at $3.23/week.
