Seeing Eye: Play bingo, help the Imagination Station

BINGO FUNDRAISER: A gun and purse bingo fundraiser to help Bazetta Parks Imagination Station will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Optimist Club of Bazetta-Cortland, 2619 Hoagland Blackstub Road. The event will include six gun games, six designer purse games and one purse / gun combo game. The kitchen will be open. Doors open at noon, and the gun raffle begins at 2:15 pm. Cost is $50 per ticket with 25% of the proceeds to help Bazetta Park. Attendees must be 21 and older. For tickets, call Worthy at 330-307-3488.

HEALTH INFORMATION: The Warren City Health District will have an information table at Ultium Cells LLC’s Health Fair noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at 7400 Tod Ave. SW., Lordstown. For more information, call 330-841-2596.

PURSE BINGO: Thrive 10:10 will host a purse bingo 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Girard American Legion, 11 High St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Chair massages will be provided with a donation to Thrive 10:10. CALL FOR ART: The Davis Family YMCA will accept artwork for the “I Know What I Like” art show Oct. 5. The event is open to all adults in the tri-county area. BASKET RAFFLE: The Mahoning Valley Archaeological Society will sponsor a basket raffle bonanza 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Five 4’s Distillery, 47 N. Center St., Newton Falls, with live music from 7 to 10 p.m. A portion of specialty drinks will be donated by the distillery to the society.

SAFETY EXPO: The Northeast Ohio Safety Expo will take place Thursday at the Holiday Inn Boardman on South Avenue. Safety professionals, business leaders and workplace wellness advocates are invited to attend. The one-day event is an extension of the safety conference started by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

WARD MEETING: The final monthly 3rd Ward meeting will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the fire station on Atlantic Street NE. It will be moved inside if it rains. Guests will be the candidates for Warren Council at-Large, council president, 3rd Ward councilman and Warren Municipal Court judge. Each has been asked to speak briefly about their campaign and answer questions.

MOAB HOUSE FUNDRAISER: Ladies in Service at Austintown Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield Niles Road, will host a rummage sale 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to benefit the Moab House of Mineral Ridge. Attendees can take what they want and pay what they can, organizers said. The Moab House is a nonprofit Christian organization that gives three years of support to former foster care young adults ages 18 to 21. For information on the sale call 330-799-7823.

WGH 45TH REUNION: WGH 1980: Warren G Harding High School Class of 1980 is having its 45th high school reunion Oct. 3 through 5. Registration deadline is Wednesday. All classmates who have not been contacted and would like to attend are welcome.
