Seeing Eye: Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership plans cleanup
TNP PLANS CLEANUP: Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership and Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste District will host a citywide cleanup 10 a.m, to noon Saturday at sites in Warren. Volunteers are invited to help pick up litter and beautify the city. Gloves, trash bags and tools will be provided. All ages are welcome. PET SUPPLIES DRIVE: Menards Home Improvement store on Elm Road in Bazetta is a drop-off site for pet supplies through May 31.
Menards offers a variety of pet supplies that will be donated to a humane association. Items can be found in the pet and wildlife department for immediate donation. A collection box will be placed near the exit at Menards to place donations.
JUNIOR LEAGUE EVENT: The Junior League of the Mahoning Valley will hold its third annual PAW-Lapalooza from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Boardman Park. The event is a family friendly one that celebrates dogs and their owners. The event will include a dog show. Pet owners can enter their dogs at $10 per pet. CD CREATIVITY: The Girard Free Library will hold “Shine & Shatter: Teen CD Mosaics” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, where participants can be creative and make a masterpiece with an old CD. Call the library at 330-545-2508 to register.
COLOR RUN SET: Girard High School seniors and juniors will hold their Girard Community Color Run noon Saturday at high school. The 5K walk and run will kick off at 1 p.m. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Emmanuel Care Center in Girard. The cost per participant is $15. DRAMA CLUB PRESENTATION: The Hubbard High School Drama Club will present “The Addams Family,” a musical comedy, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets will be available at the door at $10 for adults and $5 for students.
TRIVIA TIME: The McKinley Memorial Library in Niles will present “Trivia Time: Movie Education” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the library. The afternoon will be filled with cinematic trivia with four rounds. The event is for ages 12 and older. Registration is required by calling 330-652-1701, ext 3.
