MESOPOTAMIA OX ROAST: The 48th annual Mesopotamia Ox Roast Antiques and Flea Market will be Friday to July 3 at the Mesopotamia Center, 8800 state Route 534. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 3. More than 130 vendors and live entertainment will be on the grounds. Roast beef sandwiches and other food will be served each day starting at 10 a.m.

McDONALD FIREFIGHTERS FESTIVAL: The McDonald Fire Department Association will host the 89th annual firefighter homecoming festival 6 to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Woodland Park grounds, off Ohio Avenue. Wednesday is the Run of the Mill one-mile foot race at 5:45 p.m. followed by the parade at 6 p.m. Friday is a car show with winners announced at 8:15 p.m. Saturday is a craft show noon to 7 p.m., children’s games starting at 10:15 a.m. and bike show with winners announced at 8:15 p.m. Bingo, games and concessions take place daily.

MUSEUM DISPLAY: The National McKinley Birthplace Museum, 40 N. Main St., Niles, is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or by appointment. Admission is free. A permanent exhibit of President William McKinley’s family and presidential artifacts are on display. New exhibits featuring local collectors include Indy 500 and pace car models and Native American artifacts. An upcoming exhibit will feature the Samuel Hubbard Scott flag collection, which consists of over 100 historic flags, on loan from the Mahoning Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. BARNHISEL HOUSE: The Girard Historical Society will host an open house of the Barnhisel Historical Home and Museum, 1011 N. State St., Girard, 1 to 4 p.m. today. This month’s display is Girard businesses past and present with artifacts from different Girard businesses. Volunteer opportunities are available at 330-314-2345.

LIBERTY PANTRY: Churchill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill Hubbard Road, will host a food pantry 10 a.m. to noon July 8 and Aug. 5. The pantry serves residents of Liberty and families of the Liberty school district. For information, call 330-759-0118.
