COUNCIL TO HOLD HIGH TEA: The Community Volunteer Council will hold its annual High Tea at noon Oct. 4 at DiViestes on North River Road. The theme is an ”Afternoon of Jazz” featuring Stanley Miller. GARDEN GUILD TO MEET: Lordstown Garden Guild will meet 7 p.m. Monday, at the Lordstown SCOPE Center, located at the back of the Lordstown Elementary School. KNITTING GUILD MEETS: Warren Knitting Guild meets 7 p.m. fourth Tuesday of the month, September through May, at Grace United methodist Chruch, 1725 Drexel Ave. N.W., Warren.

SOCIETY TO MEET: The Champion Township Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Gone Tomorrow Antiques and Miscellaneous Shop on Mahoning Avenue in Champion. This event is open to the public and interested parties are encouraged to come at 5:30 p.m. to peruse the shop. The owner of the shop will give a presentation on some of the items in the shop and how impactful antique and vintage items are to the community as each holds their own unique history.

NAACP WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS: The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is holding a membership drive 105 Years of Making a Difference, 5 p.m. Sept. 28 at Restoration Christian Fellowship, 760 Main St., Warren. Pastors Joseph and Kimberly Walker will host the event.
Featured will be Gospel legends For Grace, Restoration Christian Fellowship-RHEMA Youth, NAACP Youth ACTSO Presentation; special guest Jocelyn Travis from the Cleveland NAACP and Dr. Kimberly Jackson-Pinn of the NAACP Wellness chair.
