Thu. 2:31 p.m.: Active shooter reported at Air Force base in Dayton

DAYTON (AP) — Federal and state authorities in armored vehicles and unmarked cars swarmed onto a sprawling Air Force base in this afternoon in Dayton amid reports of an active shooter at a medical center. Workers at the base were told to shelter in place on the sprawling base. WHIO-TV reported that an announcement was made at the medical center telling some people inside the building to leave with their hands on their heads. WARREN — The body found this evening in a wooded area off Risher Road SW is believed to be that of Jerry "Jay" Hughley, the missing boyfriend of a woman whose body was found a week ago today outside nearby Deemer Park. “Can I get somebody on Risher Road? I've been out here looking for my nephew, Jay Hughley. Sun. 9:28 p.m.: Body found off Risher Road, Warren

WARREN — Police are combing through a wooded area off Risher Road in southwest Warren, where a body was found this evening. A half dozen city police cruisers are parked on Risher Road between Martin Luther King Boulevard and Pershing Avenue SW, near the Warren Township border. The street has been roped off. Police are not commenting yet on the investigation, nor have the identified the body. According to dispatch logs, someone reported finding a body in the grass about 7:20 p.m. A Tribune Chronicle reporter is at the scene and we will post more information as it becomes available.

WEATHERSFIELD — Homes and business within a mile radius of Predator Trucking Co. outside of Girard are being evacuated this morning after an apparent chemical release. Weathersfield Township Fire Department, the Girard Police Department and HazMat units have been dispatched to the company, 1775 N. State St., and to homes and businesses surrounding it. UPDATE: WEATHERSFIELD — Emergency responders say that hydrochloric acid spilled from a truck at Predator Trucking Co. this morning, causing the evacuation of a one-mile radius. Not only are homes and businesses being evacuated, but emergency crews say that planes and helicopters are being instructed to stay clear of the area.
