Thu. 9:54 a.m.: Police respond to active shooter in downtown Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police say they've responded to an active shooter situation minutes ago at the Fifth Third Bank building in downtown Cincinnati. The police department in a Tweet described it as an “active shooter/officer involved shooting incident.” An officer at the scene says there are at least two, and possibly more, people who've been shot. It wasn't clear immediately if the shooter was one of them. Streets around the building at the city's Fountain Square were closed this morning, as were sidewalks.

Tue. 9:29 a.m.: Injuries reported in Fowler bus crash this morning

FOWLER — Additional ambulances were called out this morning after a Cadillac SUV collided with a transit bus this morning in Fowler. According to Trumbull County 911 dispatch, seven to eight passengers were injured in the 8:30 a.m. crash on state Route 305 between state Route 193 and Bell South Road. Reports state that two people initially were trapped inside one of the vehicles. A Tribune Chronicle reporter is en route to the scene. Updates will be posted as details become available.

DAYTON (AP) — Wright-Patterson Air Force Base now says there was “no real-world active shooter incident” this afternoon. The base said the report occurred during a "normal, scheduled installation exercise" that included an active shooter scenario. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base says via Twitter that base personnel remain safe. Traffic is coming and going at the Air Force base in Dayton hours after authorities responded to reports of an active shooter.
