LORDSTOWN --- In the latest play in the TJX drama, officials said this morning that a conservancy will be created through the Trumbull County MetroParks or the Western Reserve Land Conservancy as a buffer zone so that no residents will have to live next to a factory. Lordstown rezoned 290 acres of property that may be used for a TJX HomeGoods Distribution Center. WEATHERSFIELD — Emergency officials reported that the hydrochloric acid spill outside of Girard has been cleaned up and contained. People who were evacuated now are being allowed to return to their homes and businesses. About 7:30 a.m., Weathersfield firefighters dispatched by a call from a passerby to Predator Trucking Co., 1775 N. State St., discovered the spill. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Authorities are investigating a shooting that critically wounded two contract workers outside a suburban Kansas City elementary school.
