It’s about time to consider term limits

DEAR EDITOR: Please consider having this in your weekend edition. I do believe it’s time for all voters to seriously think about “term limits” and remove every politician from their office. This shutdown has gone on way too long and both parties are to blame. There is absolutely no excuse for these members of congress to not get together to end this needless tragedy. Why are we still electing these people in? Please consider sending a statement of discontent by voting in new leadership who, just maybe, will do their jobs. ROBERT GRANCHIE Struthe

DEAR EDITOR: I’m very concerned that our Republican members of Congress are unwilling to stand up for victims of sexual abuse. I wonder how many of these idle Republican members would want the first sexual experience of their daughter, especially a 14-year-old daughter, to be at the hands of adult men and a woman. DEAR EDITOR: After reading the recent news article on the future of the Family Place Library, I was a bit taken back at the quote,” Libraries are not only about books. They are about strengthening families and supporting children from their earliest years.” I assert that the very heart of a library’s premise is all about “THE BOOK”. The library first and foremost should be promoting literacy from infancy to the golden years. So after decades of people driving through the school zone in Newton Falls, it all of a sudden has become a safety concern. Where was this concern from people five or 10 years ago. A child can get kill just as easy by a car doing the speed limit. And what happens once the kids leave the school zone. Why not park a police car right by the school entrance.
