Warren City Council to discuss Flock cameras

WARREN — In addition to Warren City Council approving a one-year moratorium on data centers at Wednesday’s meeting, another hot-button item was briefly discussed — Flock cameras. Flock cameras use Automated License Plate Recognition technology manufactured and are distributed by the Atlanta-based company Flock Safety. The cameras typically are mounted on roadside poles and record license plate numbers of millions of vehicles and report them to subscribing police departments and homeowner associations. Nelly Covelli show postponed

Nelly won’t be heating up the Covelli Centre until December. Sunday’s concert at the Youngstown arena is postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances,” according to venue operator JAC Management. The new date is Dec. 11. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. For those unable to attend in December, refunds will be available through the original point of purchase until Oct. 10.

Hubbard resident voices support for data centers

HUBBARD — One resident noted city council’s potential to bring in millions of dollars and set their own rules when it comes to data center companies, as part of his comments to city council Tuesday. Howland approves declaring structure public nuisance

HOWLAND — A vacant township property could soon be wiped clean, thanks to funding from a state program for which officials signed up the township. Trustees at Wednesday’s meeting approved a resolution declaring a Niles Road structure a public nuisance and authorizing its demolition through the Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation, also known as the Trumbull County Land Bank.
