BOYS BASKETBALL
Howland 57, Youngstown East 45 — Ta-Shawn Fambro led a balanced Howland offense with 12 points. Carter Saul added nine for the Tigers. For East, Kordae Phillips and Tyris Davis scored 11 points each.
Jefferson 60, Lakeview 55 — George Dzura led Jefferson with 28 points, including eight 3-pointers. The Falcons trailed 28-27 at halftime before taking the lead for good in the third quarter. Joel Navarro added 16 for the Falcons. For Lakeview, Ada Lantz sank six 3-pointers, scoring 21 overall. The Bulldogs also got 11 points each from Isaiah Lantz and Conor Davin. Lantz knocked down three 3’s of his own. Luke Demsey was also in double figures with 10 points.

Canfield 45, Warren Harding 36 — Jace Riccardo knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 17 overall to lead Canfield. Grant Seachrist also sank three 3’s for the Cardinals. Xavier Clark led Harding with 16 points.
Labrae 60, Champion 36 — Austin Rowe poured in a game high 22 points with four 3-pointers to lead LaBrae. Lucas Glaser added 12 for the Vikings. Champion was led by Marky Nolan with 13 points and Braylen Braham with 11.
Lisbon 67, Leetonia 50 — AJ Ramgeet had an all around performance for Lisbon, totaling 21 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Aidan Ramgeet added 16 points and Blaine Barnes notched 14. Logan Sturgeon also came up big for Lisbon with a 12 point, 14 rebound double double. Ethan Mathia and Dillon Brown scored 14 each for Leetonia.
Cardinal Mooney 52, St. Thomas Aquinas 42 –Kingston Powell led the Mooney offense with 14 points and three 3’s. Dante Turner added 12 for the Cardinals. Aquinas was led by Joran Jones with 19 points.
East Palestine 76, Southern Local 56 — Kealin Simon and Drew Bycroft had 20 points each for East Palestine. RJ May added 16 for the Bulldogs. Southern was led by Jack Pitts with 21 points and Jacob McCurdy with 15.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Warren JFK 64, Cleveland Lutheran East 60 — Didi Ryan scored 23 points to lead JFK. With her performance, Ryan surpassed 1,000 career points. Gianna Pompelia added 14 points with a pair of 3-pointers for the Eagles. T. Pollard led Lutheran East with 22 points. M. Martin added 14 and D. Porter scored 11.
Canfield 67, Warren G. Harding 29 — On senior night, Lorieona Jannone led the Cardinals with 16 points, while Jenna Triveri had 14 points and Carly Fleming had 10. Akeelha Barnes had 11 points for the Raiders and Jaleah Provitt finished with 10.
Poland 45, Marlington 43 — Leanna Boccieri scored 19 points to lead Poland. Boccieri knocked down four 3-pointers as well for the Bulldogs, who trailed 25-19 at halftime. B. Pietz led Marlington with 14 points.
Ursuline 68, Cleveland Central Catholic 19 — The Ursuline duo of Carly Casey and Kennedy Carpenter scored 16 points each to lead the Irish. Imoni Dotson scored 11 to lead Central Catholic.
Boardman 42, Hubbard 20 — Maddy Slevin scored 16 to lead Boardman. The Spartans also got double figure scoring from Jocelyn Torres with 11 points. Layla Songer led Hubbard with nine points. All of her points came on 3-pointers.
Chalker 49, Jackson Milton 38 — Julia Ross scored 11 to lead Chalker. Abby Grimm added 10 points for the Wildcats. Riley Ashcraft and Tatum Hudak chipped in nine points each. Emma Johns led all scorers with a game high 18 points for Jackson Milton.
WRESTLING
West Branch 38, Howland 25
Howland lost a tightly contested matchup with West Branch, but did come away with victories at five different weight classes. Brayden Cortese picked up a decision win at 113 lbs. At 126 lbs. Patrick Neff earned a major decision 13-5. Deacon Mock (144 lbs.) and Cohen Rudesill (165 lbs.) earned pinfall victories. Blake Culver-Shonce rounded out the day for the Tigers with a 50 second pinfall victory at 175 lbs.
