BOYS BASKETBALL

Western Reserve 55, Lowellville 50 — Connor Cochran poured in 19 points to lead Western Reserve past Lowellville. Cochran got help from Josh Klasic, who added 15 points for the Blue Devils. Aiden Romine was also a key contributor with nine points.

Bristol 76, Chalker 46 — Rylan Gillin scored 21 points, including three 3’s for Bristol. The Panthers offense was rolling, with double digit scoring nights from Logan Briggs (18), Seth Miller (15), and Michael Sponsler (12). Tegun Noble led Chalker with 15 points and Tanner Kelson had 11.

McDonald 67, Waterloo 40 — Joey Cappuzello scored 24 points for McDonald (3-0), including three shots from distance. Brady Klockner added to the 3-point barrage with four 3’s and 17 points overall.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lakeview 67, South Range 48 — Kalyasa Werner led Lakeview (4-0) with 14 points. Paige Schwartz added 12 for the Bulldogs and Annie Humphrey and Sienna Terry added nine points each. Gwen Lowry led South Range with 15 points. Sophia Lucente added 13.

Western Reserve 58, Lowellville 33 — Quincy Miller scored 19, with three 3-pointers for Reserve. Kylee Ramsey added 14 and Baylie Sinn had 12 for the Blue Devils. Sydney Procick and Gianna Palumbo had 12 each for Lowellville.

Girard 48, Niles 46 — Caylee Wilkes scored 15 points to lead Girard to a close victory. Ally Grassman added 13 points for the Indians. Niles was led by Khekinglon Stanford with 18 points and Ava Ferri with 10.

Warren Harding 43, Struthers 21 — Akeehla Barnes recorded a double double, totaling 13 points and 15 rebounds for Harding. Trinity Taylor added 12 points and six steals for the Raiders. Vivian Marker scored seven points, including one 3-pointer for Struthers.

Poland 58, Hubbard 42 — Poland (4-0) remained unbeaten behind 18 points from Briella Rowe. Rowe also knocked down two 3-pointers. Poland’s duo of Leanna Boccieri and Brooklyn Kosco added 11 points each. Claire Murphy paced the Hubbard offense with 19 points including five shots from behind the arc. Chloe Cicero was also hit from 3-point range for Hubbard, hitting four.

From Wednesday

Lisbon 61, Wellsville 25 — Jayden Smith led the Lisbon offense with 14 points and six steals. Lylah Brown added 12 points, seven rebounds and a block on the defensive end. The Blue Devils Bridgett Newbold did it all, tallying five points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
