Champion 9, Newton Falls 1 — Mia DeCesare scored the Tigers’ goal off an assist from Carlie Kozak. Champion stats were not provided.

Niles 2, Perry 0 — Kherington Stanford and Maddie Yost both scored as the Red Dragons continued to roll. Alinah Salamah had an assist, and Grace Guarnieri stopped three shots for Niles (14-0-1).

VOLLEYBALL

McDonald 3, Columbiana 2 — The Blue Devils held on to beat Columbiana 17-25, 27-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-9. Halle Kuntz led the way for the Devils (13-1) with 24 kills, seven points, three blocks, one ace and an assist. Ava Salomone added 12 kills, 12 digs, 30 assists, 15 points and four aces. Ava Gallo chipped in 13 digs, seven kills, four points, two aces and two assists, and Grace Klockner finished with 23 assists, 19 digs, two kills and two points. Addisyn Dangler had a team-high 16 kills with three points, three digs and a block for the Clippers (18-2). Landry Smith recorded 14 kills, eight points, four aces and a block. Layla McCarthy had 25 digs and a kill, Evy Rapp registered six kills, 10 points, four aces and 19 digs and Eva Waller was credited with 36 assists, six points, four digs, two kills, a pair of aces and a block.

Brookfield 3, Lowellville 1 — The Warriors were victorious 16-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-12. Elaina Boyce registered nine kills, three aces and 15 digs for Brookfield. MaRae Craig had eight kills and three blocks, Alexia Baker tallied 32 digs and four aces, Maci Phillips had two aces and Rylie Burdge finished with 22 assists.

Howland 2, Geneva 1 — In one game of a doubleheader, the Tigers won 25-27, 25-15, 25-23. Maya Kubancsek had a team-high 24 kills with 16 digs and 12 points for the Tigers. Talia Rishel picked up a team-high 44 assists with six kills, Gabby Rich added 14 points and four aces and Michelina Wayt had 21 digs and two aces.

Howland 2, Louisville 1 — In the nightcap of the Howland doubleheader, the Tigers won 21-25, 28-26, 25-20. Maya Kubancsek led the Tigers (11-7) with 22 kills, 18 points and 17 digs. Grace Kukkonen recorded seven kills with three blocks, Talia Rishel added 41 assists and three blocks, Michelina Wayt tallied 21 digs and Lily Day finished with 11 digs.

Crestview 3, Salem 0 — The Rebels improved to 17-2 with a 25-18, 25-13, 25-19 victory over the Quakers. Lainey Auer had another big game for the Rebels, finishing with 26 kills, 13 digs and two aces. Sophia Stewart registered 25 assists and nine digs, Sophia Noling earned 11 kills and Cam Davidson added six digs and four kills.
