American society is caught up in greed while decency suffers
DEAR EDITOR:
Heaven is closed and Hell’s overcrowded, while decency lies in the lost and found.
As we can now see everything has a price. It’s often said, “Signed, sealed, delivered.”
It’s the lowest hanging fruit on the tree that is first to be cut or picked.
We now have a nation captured by greed. In society, individuals prioritize accumulating wealth, power and possessions above all else at the expense of others.
I hear someone calling, “Come in from the craziness,” but there ain’t nobody around.
Heaven is closed and Hell’s overcrowded while decency lies in the lost and found.
“Yes, it’s getting too dark to see,” as the song says.
I’m knock knock knockin on Heaven’s door, knock knock knockin on Heaven’s door.
Knock knock knockin on Heaven’s door.
