Sound off!
We keep hearing that the U.S. needs illegal immigrants, mostly from Democrats, to do jobs like picking crops. Do you know who else said this? Slave owners!

So, Insight and the Trumbull County Commissioners think that Trumbull Regional Hospital can re-open. Can they be serious? The hospital has been closed for months; physicians and nurses have left — either for greener pastures or other local jobs; most other personnel and support staff have gone elsewhere; equipment has been removed or has been unused for months. Even if it does reopen, who would come to this location for such tenuous working conditions?

Trump costs the American people millions in plane costs and hotel stays for his Secret Service as they stay at HIS hotels during golf trips making more money for him. His FAMILY costs us thousands for planes and hotels for their trips conducting business FOR TRUMP. The Trump crypto business makes even more money for the Trump family. Trump has ignored the Emoluments Clause in either accepting or pandering for gifts from countries, making millions. The presidency is his personal moneymaker.

Here we go — local liberal leaders claiming “The sky is falling!” again. The thought of hard-working citizens being able to keep more of their earnings through tax cuts drives them crazy. Calm down. Many other states already function without high property tax earnings and they seem to be doing just fine. Maybe, just maybe we might take a look at how the other states make it work.

What poetic justice with an Alligator Alcatraz reception in the waiting, if Donald Trump is found out to be all over the Epstein files as has been widely reported with tons of circumstantial evidence (from court depositions, witness testimonies, family photos, magazine articles, Lolita Express logs, Trump’s own words, videos and even how Melania and Trump first met)?!! This is a story of justice and irony like never seen before in American history.

Trump was born the son of a mafia-connected NYC construction and real estate magnate. Fred Trump required him to be cutthroat. Donny sought his father’s approval over his mother’s love. Imagine being a cutthroat little rich kid without friends. Donny always had to buy acceptance and impress peers with brags. In this way Fred created our soulless monster wishing to rule the whole world. For God’s sake; let’s forgive but impeach him, before he destroys everything good in our country.

Jerome Powell, Fed chair, is a man of integrity. He follows the Taylor rule, monetary policy guidelines for economic markers like unemployment rates, gross domestic product. It helps decide if interest rates hold, raise or lower. It’s a true formula to balance the economy from plummeting into recession taking years to recover. Removing, replacing the current Fed with someone who would override and ignore the Taylor rule is dangerous politics with consequences that would affect every American.

What is wrong with people in Warren? Homes are dilapidated. Lawns are overgrown. Tattoo parlors outnumber grocery stores. The city has become a medical desert. Juveniles are causing chaos. Domestic violence seems to be at an all-time high. Animal abuse cases are outrageous. Warren was once a proud city. Hopefully, if the projected construction projects come to fruition and offer employment, it can regain some of that pride. The city leaders must wake up and solve some of these problems.

Ohio State Rep Michelle Teska (Sandusky) plus 12 Republican co-sponsors propose HB 376 to cut Ohio unemployment benefits from 26 weeks to 20 weeks. Ohioans (and Americans) need to vote against politicians who are against the ordinary, everyday working people who get laid off. No one should have to get a minimum-wage job for six weeks while waiting to be recalled to a living-wage job. Vote for a candidate who supports hard-working Americans.

Mark and Laura, the senior levy does not owe you. They have a right to pick and choose where they allow their funding. If you need more funds for your senior center, then it is time for you to do your job and start looking for more funding or find supporters to fund you. Stop making it sound as if you are not funded with their dollars that it is the levy’s fault as to why your senior center closes down or you have to make changes.

By continually harassing Fed President Jerome Powell, President Trump is setting the stage for another “Show-for-the-Slow”. When prices increase, people reduce purchases and layoffs increase all because of tariffs, the president can blame Mr. Powell for not lowering interest rates. Trump supporters will fall for it and that is all he cares about. Maybe the economy will remain strong, even with higher prices coming, but the set-up for another “Show-for-the-Slow” is in place, in case he needs to use it.

Reading the article about the recent flooding in New Jersey softened my hard heart a bit. Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, said, “We’re not unique, but we’re in one of these sort of high humidity, high temperature, high storm intensity patterns right now.” What! A more logical explanation of the cause instead of blaming Trump for the nation’s freakish weather? Thank you, governor of the great Garden State.
