Marilyn R. Quilty 1952-2026
NILES — Marilyn Rose Quilty, 74, died Friday, July 10, 2026, at O’Brien Memorial Nursing Home in Masury, following a long illness.
She was born June 2, 1952, in Cleveland, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Petrunyak Synk.
She worked in various positions at Mercy Health and retired in 2015.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dennis P. Quilty; two daughters, Melissa Chamberlain of Niles and Erin McGee of Lancaster, New York; six grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Synk of Athens, Georgia, and James Synk of Orlando, Florida; and a sister, Mary Kesock of Strongsville.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles. The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
