Patricia A. Rindfuss 1946-2026
NILES — Patricia Ann Rindfuss, 79, lovingly known as “Patty” by her friends and family, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 20, 2026, while visiting her daughter Sherry in Michigan.
She was born Sept. 15, 1946, to William and Dorothy Morgan.
Patty was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1964, and was a faithful member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-St. Stephen Church, Niles. Throughout her life, she was hardworking and dedicated, having worked at Packard Electric, Tupperware, Dana Office Supplies, Leonard’s Glass, McMenamy’s bingo and cleaning homes. She also proudly served her community by working at the voting polls, a role she took great pride in.
Patty was fun-loving, spirited and competitive. She couldn’t go anywhere without lending a helping hand. Patty enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family and found joy in shopping, gardening, dancing, singing, playing cards and playing board games. Her warm personality, sense of humor and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Morgan; her sister, Nancy Pipenur; and ex-husband, Allen Rindfuss.
Patty is survived by her loving daughter, Sherry (Bryan) Riedel; her cherished grandchildren, Hannah and AJ Riedel; her brother, William (Cindy) Morgan; her sisters, Mary Morgan (Tim Gleydura), Kathy (Anthony) Gentile, and Jeanne (James) Lee; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Patty will be remembered for the love she shared, the laughter she brought and the many memories she created with those blessed to know her.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
