Linda R. Taylor 1942 – 2026

Linda was born April 23, 1942, in Lockwood, the daughter of Herbert and Anna Dunkerton. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball as a pitcher on her father’s team alongside her sisters. She also worked at Kay Dee Manufacturing in Orwell.

Later in life, Linda enjoyed visiting casinos with her late husband, dining at local restaurants with friends and spending time with those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur G. Taylor; and her sisters, Doris Testa, Lorretta Bennett and Margorie Dunkerton.

Linda is survived by her sisters, Jeanette Parke of Cortland and Gloria Smith of North Bloomfield; her son, Dennis L. Bates Sr. of New Lyme; her grandson, Dennis L. Bates Jr. of Warren; and her stepchildren, Robert Taylor of Tuolumne, California, Sandy Colon of Oakdale, California, and William Taylor of Painesville.

Private family memorial services will take place with burial to follow in Brownwood Cemetery.
