Anita K. Smith-McNair 1937-2026
WARREN — Anita Kay Smith-McNair, 88, died Monday, May 18, 2026.
She was born Aug. 7, 1937, in Warren, a daughter of Cyrus Seabrooks and Verna Lucille Smith.
She retired from employment at the Warren City Board of Education/Warren G. Harding High School and as a librarian for Warren Western Reserve High School and McGuffey Elementary School.
She was a member of the Elim Worship Center.
Survivors include one son, Walter McNair of Newnan, Georgia; daughter, Cynthia McNair of Hubbard; brother, Hillary Deval Taylor Jr.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Elim Worship Center.
Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
