Rudy M. Luhaney 1943-2026

Born March 14, 1943, in Warren, Rudy was raised in Niles, the son of the late Ella and Rudy Luhaney. He graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1961 and went on to attend Youngstown State University and Kent State University.

Rudy devoted many years of his professional life to Ajax, where he worked in sales for 36 years until his retirement.

On June 29, 1968, he married Kathy Shaughnessy. Together they shared 58 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter and adventure. They especially enjoyed traveling the world and creating lasting memories side by side.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sister, Joanne Luhaney; his sister-in-law, Annita (John) Homlitas; and seven beloved nieces and nephews, Beth Homlitas of Warren; Erin (Chris) Henson and Brendon Shaughnessy of Santa Barbara, California; Daniel (Nicole) Shaughnessy of Connecticut; Brian (Sharon) Shaughnessy of Albany, New York; and Edward and Michael Shaughnessy of Easton, Pa. He is also lovingly remembered by three great-nieces and four great-nephews.

A private memorial Mass was held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Mary Church, 232 Seneca Ave. NE, Warren, OH 44481.
