Mary Ann Ferguson 1932-2025
HUBBARD — Mary Ann Ferguson, 93, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Austintown Healthcare Center.
Mary Ann was born Aug, 14, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Pacak Kisak. She was a 1950 graduate of Struthers High School.
Mary Ann was a teller and secretary in various positions part-time and full-time for Dollar Saving and Trust, National City and PNC Bank for 35 years, retiring in 1994.
For 25 years, she was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church in Campbell and later a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Hubbard, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a former member of Hubbard Senior Citizens, GCU bowling league in the 1950s and Bell Wick mixed league for many years.
Mary Ann was known for being funny and kind, and took responsibility for helping others. She never missed a birthday and loved sending out cards to everyone. She also enjoyed baking and cooking “Slovak” foods for her family, especially her kolachi, stuffed cabbage, meatloaf and haluski. She proudly studied the Slovak language and traveled to Czechoslovakia to visit her relatives and learn more about her heritage.
Her husband, Donald J. Ferguson, whom she married May 18, 1957, passed away May 14, 2009.
Mary Ann will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her daughter, Suzanne M. (Scott) Weaver of Mount Joy, Pa.; her son, Daniel E. Ferguson of Vancouver, Washington; and three grandchildren, Sydney, Brendan and Katie Rose; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kisak of Struthers and Faye Kisak of Boardman; godson, Rob Keshock of Walton Hills; and goddaughter, Renee (Kisak) Mraulak of Struthers.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Lori; and brother, Joseph Kisak.
Mary Ann was always making comments that she hoped to get flowers at her funeral.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, followed by prayers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward Noga officiating.
Mary Ann will be laid to rest in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
