Sandra Marie Galliard Jones 1939-2025

She was born April 28, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mayo and Odell Davis Gaillard.

A 1959 graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit, Sandra earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University. Always community-minded, Sandra got her start with the Swanettes Social Club in Detroit. Later, she was part of the Warren Auxiliary Club, the Community Volunteer Council (CVC), Eastern Star, the Red Hatters and the Birthday Club.

She thoroughly enjoyed shopping, playing cards, bowling, golfing and line dancing, participating in various leagues during her life.

She retired Jan. 31, 1995, from Packard Electric, after 25 years of employment. Parallel to working at Packard, she and her husband, Cliff, were the former owners of Cliff’s Lounge.

Precious memories of Sandra live on with her three children, Timothy Aaron Brown of Marietta, Georgia, Sharon Marie Green of Warren and William Gaillard Brown of Palo Alto, California; three grandchildren, Tanay Lyn Marie Hill, Teliya Marie (John) Little and Taylor Erin Brown; three great-grandchildren, Laylah Nevaeh Hayes, Jimena Makenzie Little and Elyse Danielle Little; and her brother, William Bradley Gaillard of Pleasant Hill, California.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her beloved husband of nearly 22 years, Clifford Lee Jones, whom she married July 22, 1972, and who passed June 16, 1994; and her brother, Mayo Farris Gaillard.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Orneil Heller officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. All who knew and loved Sandra are welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
