Renee Corrigan 1961-2025

CHAMPION — Renee Corrigan, 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday afternoon, Oct. 10, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Renee was born Sept. 12, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a daughter of Fred Double and Norma Jean Williams.

She was a 1979 graduate of Bristol High School. She was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years and raised and made a loving home for her children. She then worked at Great Lakes Cheese until she retired.

She was a loving wife, mom and nana who loved being around her family, whether on family vacations to Outer Banks or get-togethers at home. She enjoyed going on vacations, getaways and trips to the wineries with her husband. She had a talent for crafting. She enjoyed crocheting, stitching, sewing and making her children’s Halloween costumes from scratch. She was loved by everyone she met, whether she had known them for years or met them once.

Renee will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Dean Corrigan, whom she married Sept. 6, 2016; parents, Fred (Charlotte) Double and Norma Jean Williams; children, Brandon (Jenn) Williams, Michael (Heather) Hillman, Kayla Allen and stepson, Michael (Ashley) Corrigan; son-in-law, Brandyn Allen; grandchildren, Natalie, Hayden, Alayna, Emery, Delainey, Rhett, Wyatt and baby Hillman on the way; siblings, Eric (Karla) Williams, Wendy (Mark) Pozzuto, Scott (Penny) Double, Annie Eckles and Becky (Skip) Lucanski; sister-in-law, Dee Dee (Jeff) Urso; stepbrothers, Tom (Thedra) Burns and Paul (Chrissy ) Burns; father-in-law, Ed Corrigan; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bruno.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Williams; brother, Darren Williams; and stepdaughter, Meghan Corrigan.

Per Renee’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
