Cathryn Parise 1924-2025

WARREN — Cathryn “Kay” Parise, 100, passed away peacefully, Friday, Sept. 19, 2025.

Born Nov. 3, 1924, in Niles, Kay was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Pasha.

She graduated from high school and worked for many years as a stator winder at Packard Electric in Warren, a skilled and vital role in the company’s motor and generator production.

Kay was known for her warmth, strength and quiet dedication to her family and community. She was an avid bowler, a talented quilter and a devoted reader. She found great joy in her faith, attending church regularly, and was especially known among family and friends for making the best pizzelles.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Henry Parise; her son, Ronald Parise; daughter-in-law, Cecelia Parise; her brothers, Tony, David and John Pasha; and sisters, Rosie, Mary and Maryanne.

Kay is survived by her loving daughter, Rita Parise; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Michelle) Parise and Katherine (Joseph) Morgan; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha and Patrick Parise, and Easton, Josie and Cece Morgan.

Kay’s family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate staff of Champion Estates Assisted Living and Windsor House at Champion nursing home, who cared for Kay for the last two years.

A private service was held Oct. 3, 2025, in All Souls Cemetery.

Material contributions to the family will take the form of donations in Kay’s memory to the Dr. Ronald Parise Scholarship at Youngstown State University.
