James Mymo Jr. 1943-2025

James “Jimmy” Mymo was born Nov. 1, 1943, to Betty Jenkins Mymo and James Mymo Sr. The eldest of three children, he was born deaf, yet never let that stand in the way of making friends and connecting with others.

As a child, he had an adventurous spirit, running around the neighborhood, visiting family and neighbors, having fun and getting into a little mischief. He was a talented block layer, gardener and landscaper who had a big heart, always helping family and friends. He loved to travel, forage wild mushrooms, fish, draw and oil paint. Jimmy enjoyed sharing stories about his life, his travels and the lessons he learned along the way.

He will be deeply missed by his brother and best friend, Carl Mymo of Niles, who lovingly cared for him in his later years; his sister, Karen Ashiolas of Niles; and his three nieces, Christine Murray (husband, James), Danielle Munno (husband, Michael) and Lori Ashiolas, along with their children and grandchildren.

A private service will be held for the immediate family. Thank you for understanding during this difficult time.
