John H. Richards 1942-2025

He was born April 23, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of Howard and Henrietta Menning Richards.

John was a 1960 graduate of The Rayen School and worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 30 years, retiring in 1999.

He married the former Diane E. Millard on Sept. 4, 1988. Together they shared almost 37 years of marriage and many wonderful memories. She survives him.

John enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and gardening. He also loved to travel and play with his beloved dogs.

Besides his loving wife, John is survived by a sister, Janet Bean of Chicago, Illinois; two grandsons; Matthew Garren and Byron Richards, both of Florida; as well as several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bob Richards.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services or calling hours.

He will be laid to rest in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Canfield.

Arrangements for Mr. Richards are being provided by the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Mineral Ridge.
