Janet E. Menteer 1959-2025
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Janet Elaine Campbell Menteer, 65, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Born July 12, 1959, in Marion, Janet dedicated most of her life to her career as a phlebotomist, providing compassionate care to her patients.
Janet was of the Methodist faith. Her life was enriched by her many hobbies, which included going to the beach, bowling, playing Nintendo games — particularly favorites like Mario and Zelda — and immersing herself in the world of Harry Potter. She also loved traveling and made memorable visits to Universal Studios.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bill Menteer; son, Ryan (Blake) Cariglio of Newton Falls; daughter, Beverly (Chris) Fetterman of Columbia, Tennessee; and stepdaughter, Amber (James) Uhl of Big Run, Pa. Janet was a cherished grandmother to stepgrandchildren, Talon, Logan and Mason.
Her mother, Betty Anthony; sisters, Debbie (Tom) Macaulay and Tina (Howie) Koch; brother, David (Tracy) Campbell; and stepbrother, Larry Anthony, also survive her.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Dean Campbell; stepmother, Bonnie Campbell; son, Troy William Fetterman; stepfather, Harry Anthony; grandparents, Welda and Edna Campbell, and Ralph and Anna Baer; and stepsister, Debbie Kazimer.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be announced at a later date.
