James H. Love 1944-2025

WARREN — James Howard Love, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1944, in Warren, to the late Howard Lester and Dorothy Parlas Love.

Jim was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle who cared deeply for his family and country. So upon graduating from Kubasaki High School, Naha, Okinawa, where the family was stationed, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964. After boot camp, he was sent to U.S. Army Signal School at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and upon completion of his training, he was sent to Vietnam. After being discharged from the service in 1967, he started working for American Welding, holding various positions.

He enjoyed fishing and boat racing. He and his buddies belonged to the Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association and participated in regatta racing around the area racing their boat No. 77.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Howard F. Love and Gary L. Love.

He is survived by his sisters, Carole J. Love and D. Joan Alli; four nephews; one niece; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; and other extended family members.
