Delphine E. Henderson 1926-2025

She was born July 23, 1926, in Lima, a daughter of Oscar E. Wright and Minnie Hendershot Wright.

On Dec. 24, 1950, she married Thurman Henderson; he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 2010.

Delphine was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking and writing poems.

She is survived by her children, Richard Henderson of Niles, Cheryl (Lynn) Holzheimer of Golden Valley, Arizona, Mary Deverick of Williamsburg, Virginia, Tris (Sandra) Henderson of Warren, Elizabeth “Libby” (Kurt) Orton of Northeast, Pa., Tonya Freeman-Henderson of Finleyville, Pa., and Shawn (Pam) Henderson of Niles; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Lloyd “Bud” Henderson Sr., Howard Billy Henderson and Dana Henderson; and many siblings.

Services will be noon Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
