Faye D. Stern 1950-2025

She was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Nelson, the daughter of the late Daniel and Marie Cooper Sweda.

Faye retired from JCPenney after 12 years of service. She volunteered at Shepherd of the Valley and Children Services. Faye enjoyed gardening, shopping, reading and drawing.

She is survived by her daughter, Hollie O’Brien of Madison; sister, Susan Sweda of Canton; sister-in-law, Sharon Sperstra of Michigan: grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin and Jamie; and great-grandchildren, Dominic, Leo and Annabella.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Terry E. Stern; and brothers, Phillip and Dan “Butch” Sweda.

No services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
