Warren rescuers pull man from ravine by river

WARREN — Fire department crews on Friday helped rescue a man stuck in a ravine along the Mahoning River below the Summit Street dam. Reports state crews conducted a water rescue by putting a boat into the Mahoning River to get to the man who is believed to have fallen down an embankment into the water. The man was on land by the water and was able to be reached and taken on a raft across the water and then placed into an ambulance and transported to the hospital, a fire report states. A spokesman at the fire department did not have further details on the man’s condition or identity.
