NEW YORK (AP) — Subaru of America is recalling more than 541,000 of its Crosstrek, Forester, and Ascent SUVs due to an inaccurate label attached to the vehicles. According to a notice published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration this week, the now-recalled vehicles were made with a certification label that incorrectly states their gross axle weight rating, or GAWR, which reflects the maximum weight that each axle of a vehicle can support. WARREN — A Youngstown man pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday to two years in prison for leading Liberty police on a chase in a stolen vehicle Dec. 29, 2025. Leighland D. Johnson, 41, of Dupont Street, entered his guilty plea to charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and felony vandalism before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sarah T. Kovoor, who sentenced him to consecutive prison terms totaling 24 months. Howland, OSHP respond to motorcycle crash

HOWLAND — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an early Tuesday crash involving a motorcycle and SUV in Howland. Reports state safety crews were called around 7 a.m. Tuesday to the intersection of North River Road and state Route 46. The person on the motorcycle was found lying in the road and transported to the hospital. The Howland Fire Department also responded to the accident scene. A spokesman said the victim, a man, was in serious condition and transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
