There are a few more county fairs yet to take place but most have concluded for the year. I had the opportunity to visit two additional fairs besides our own Trumbull County Fair. There were a lot of similarities even though each was set up differently. Shooting at city apartment hits man

WARREN — A gunshot victim was found at a home in the 2800 block of Parkman Road NW when officers responded there for a shots-fired call Monday afternoon. When officers arrived for the 4:42 p.m. call, they found the victim, a man, who was treated by ambulance personnel and was taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The location of the incident is an apartment complex. Officers found a crime scene, which was taped off for investigative purposes, and detectives were called out to investigate. The Tribune Chronicle is seeking nominations for its annual Trumbull County Firefighter of the Year competition. Nominees will be evaluated on dedication, productivity, loyalty and professionalism. They must serve with a fire department in Trumbull County, be at least 18 and hold any rank below chief. Fire department personnel can nominate a fellow firefighter, but nominations also can be submitted by the public.
