ASMV seeks teacher mini-grant applicants

The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley is now accepting applications for its 2026 Teacher Mini-Grants Program, which provides funding to educators serving autistic students throughout Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. Made possible by the support of Associated School Employees Credit Union, the Teacher Mini-Grants Program invests directly in local classrooms and educators who help students with autism and other special needs thrive. POWELL (AP) — Five people have died on a river in Ohio after several of them went into the water to help another person who was struggling to swim, authorities said Monday. A motorist called 911 after spotting a frightened child with the group who was running along a nearby road to seek help, Delaware County Sheriff Jeffrey Balzer said at a news conference Monday.
