Gas prices are 28 cents higher in Northeast Ohio this week at $4.228 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has gone up 16 cents over the past week to $4.31 as crude oil prices continue climbing. WARREN — The Trumbull County Mental Health and Recovery Board and partner agencies are addressing what they say is a concerning increase in suicide deaths in Trumbull County and is reminding residents that help and support are available. According to Trumbull County Coroner’s Office data, there have been 26 suicide deaths reported this year compared with 12 deaths during the same period in 2025. Legislators introduce bill to help connect businesses with colleges

State Reps. David Thomas and Nick Santucci, who both represent Trumbull County in the Ohio House, introduced a bill they say will better connect businesses with colleges and universities by providing students with workforce training opportunities. The Joining Opportunities, Businesses and Schools (JOBS) Act includes certificate programs that align with in-demand workforce needs, the legislators said.
