CHAMPION — A township man is facing attempted murder charges following an incident Monday evening where he is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times. David Sabolsky, 64, was arrested by Champion police and booked into the Trumbull County jail. He was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on charges of attempted murder and felonious assault and is due back in court June 30, jail records show. Mecca officials seek portion of Trumbull’s remaining ARP funds

WARREN — Mecca trustees are seeking $175,000 of Trumbull County’s remaining American Rescue Plan funds to provide the final amount needed to build a town hall and community center that will provide preschool services for its youngest residents as well as medical and social services for its retired residents. County considers partnership with Healthy Hearts and Paws

WARREN — Healthy Hearts and Paws Project founder Jason Cooke talked at Tuesday’s Trumbull County Commissioners weekly workshop about how the county’s dog pound and his organization each are working at capacity with the quantity of stray dogs being housed at their facilities. “It is really bad out there,” Cooke said. “I have not seen anything like this. It is terrible having that number of stray dogs running loose.
