The Trumbull County Combined Health District confirmed two cases of measles in the county with the two people unvaccinated and the cases unrelated. During the infectious period, one person was at the Walmart on Goldie Road in Liberty on July 29 and at Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley emergency department on Market Street in Boardman on Aug. 2. NEWTON FALLS — Village council has approved legislation to not require residents on Scott Street to annex into the village to receive sanitary sewer service for a current sewer project. WARREN — Trumbull County Commissioners are weighing budget concerns of the heads of general fund departments to ensure they will be able to complete 2026 without going into deficit. The commissioners last month received the amounts each of the departments estimate they will need to finish the year.
