WARREN — Two violent offenders from Trumbull County will remain in prison after their bids at parole were recently denied. John E. Kopp, 59, who is serving an aggregate 15-years-to-life prison sentence for five counts of rape and other sex charges involving a 14-year-old female victim, was denied release and will have his next parole hearing in March 2032. Girard man arrested on improper handling charge

LIBERTY — A Girard man is scheduled to appear in Girard Municipal Court Tuesday following his weekend arrest after police allegedly found him passed out in a running vehicle with a handgun.
