Warren limits number of food trucks at events

WARREN — City council has approved limiting the number of food trucks at events to three. City Law Director Enzo Cantalamessa said at Wednesday’s council meeting that the guideline in the ordinance passed by council is there will be a maximum of three food trucks permitted on a property. He said even where there are more than one parcel of property the limit will still be three. Cantalamessa said the exception would be a special event. White House supports restoration of Delphi pensions

The White House supports the long-discussed restoration of benefits to Delphi salaried retirees, who lost them 17 years ago. The Office of Management and Budget sent a letter Wednesday to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, asking for a supplemental budget request that includes $1 billion for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, which oversaw Delphi employees’ pensions. 3 plead guilty in separate drug cases

Staff report WARREN — Three people, including a woman who swallowed fentanyl during a traffic stop in Liberty last summer, all pleaded guilty Wednesday to drug charges before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Cynthia Westcott. Kayla Lipscomb, 35, of Apricot Drive SW, Warren, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound and one count of attempted tampering with evidence. Mathews board hears concerns about homestead, moratorium

New shelter’s opening date set

Staff report WARREN — An opening date has been set for The Healthy Hearts & Paws Project’s upgraded animal shelter, aimed at providing support for Trumbull County’s dogs.
