WARREN — The Warren Police Department is investigating a Sunday night incident in which a city man reported being robbed of his blue truck by two people who hit him on the head several times with a gun before getting into the truck and leaving. The incident happened at 8:29 p.m. at 2668 Front Street SW near Kenworthy Street and Raiders Path, which is near Deemer Park and the former Westlawn area that is being redeveloped for industrial use. HUBBARD — Harding Park officials will hold off on creating a committee for now after discussions about funding campaign materials for a levy ahead of November’s election concluded with one member offering to pay for signs. Park Commissioner Mike Stiver said at Monday’s special meeting that he spoke with Mark Finamore, the board’s attorney, who said officials legally cannot fund signs using their general fund. Land use planning meeting set in Kinsman

Sheriff will provide deputies to serve in area school districts

WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners are expected to vote today on contracts involving seven area school districts and the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office enabling sheriff’s deputies to provide School Resource Officers through June 2027.
