2 dogs abandoned at park

BAZETTA — Members of the Healthy Hearts and Paws Projects were called out Tuesday to pick up two dogs that were found abandoned at the Mosquito Lake Dog Park. Jason Cooke, CEO of Healthy Hearts and Paws, reported the two dogs were taken to the shelter. He said the small dogs are infested with fleas. Cooke said the volunteer humane department received the call from a park officer who found the two dogs alone at the dog park. Anyone with information about the dogs’ owner or who may have abandoned them is asked to contact the organization’s social media site.
