Vienna extends data center moratorium

VIENNA — Township officials are only a few steps away from having their data center language in place, but they’re not taking any chances. Trustees at Monday’s meeting approved extending their ongoing moratorium for another 60 days, from Aug. 16 to Oct. 16. Zoning Inspector Mark Posey said he sent the township’s data center zoning language to the Trumbull County Planning Commission on Monday, and he expects it to come back sometime in September. Grant to cover costs for road improvements in Lordstown

LORDSTOWN — A nearly $70,000 Road Use Maintenance Agreement grant will be used to cover some of the costs of resurfacing a section of Henn Parkway and Lyntz Road. Village council at its meeting Monday approved proceeding with the $510,692 project to be done by Shelley and Sands Inc. of North Jackson. Officials said the RUMA funds are helping the village. Mayor Jackie Woodward said the project involves paving 750 feet of Henn Parkway, which includes local businesses on the route. Violent Fugitive Task Force seeks help in finding man

YOUNGSTOWN — The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of fugitive Timothy Davis, 22. Davis is wanted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Marshals Service for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute drugs. Davis is described as a black man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. Davis has been known to frequent the Youngstown, Akron, Cleveland and Wheeling, W.Va. areas.
