Liberty police search for ATV driver

LIBERTY — Township police are looking for a suspect in a Saturday morning chase that ended with the vehicle entering a wooded area out of reach. According to a police report, an officer was exiting state Route 11 onto Tibbetts Wick Road, when he noticed a dark-colored side-by-side ATV traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed, noting that there were multiple vehicles in the area and the driving was extremely reckless. Museum receives water wheel from Leavittsburg dam

WARREN TOWNSHIP — A historic wooden water pump wheel from a feed mill near the Leavittsburg Dam will be cleaned up and displayed in the future at the Leavittsburg Heritage Museum. Warren Township resident Terry Ambrose with the Leavittsburg Heritage Association said the museum recently acquired the former water wheel. She said it will be another historical item that can be enjoyed by the public. Niles police respond to weekend disturbance

NILES — No charges were filed following a weekend disturbance between neighbors, where one person said a gun was involved. According to a police report, officers were called to an Evans Street residence for a dispute between the resident and their neighbor on West Street, and the Evans Street caller said a woman at the residence had gone into the house and grabbed a gun.
