ODOT announces road adjustments in Mahoning, Trumbull

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced on Friday upcoming road closures and adjustments for construction projects in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

They include:

TRUMBULL COUNTY

• Starting Monday, state Route 87 between state Route 45 and Penniman Road in Bloomfield will have various lane restrictions for pavement repairs and chip and seal work.

• Starting Wednesday, U.S. Route 62 from just south of Interstate 80 to the Pennsylvania state line in Brookfield and Hubbard townships will have various lane restrictions for pavement repairs.

• Starting May 26, state Route 193 just north of Wakefield Creek Road in Gustavus will be closed through mid-June for a culvert replacement.

• Starting June 1, state Route 7 southbound at Route 62 in Brookfield will be closed through early July for road improvements. The detour will be Chestnut Ridge Road to Route 62. Completion is expected in late October.

MAHONING COUNTY

• Interstate 76/Interstate 80 between state Route 11 to just west of the Ohio Turnpike in Austintown and Jackson townships has various shoulder closures for pavement repairs through October.

• The ramp from state Route 164 to Interstate 680 northbound in Boardman and Beaver townships is closed through Monday evening for resurfacing. The detour is Western Reserve Road.

• Starting Monday, Wick Avenue over U.S. Route 422 will be closed through late August for a bridge deck replacement. Also, the Route 422 eastbound and westbound ramps to Wick Avenue will be closed through late August for the same project.
