Sound off!
Columnist John Stossel wrote electric bills won’t go up, but nothing about how data centers will use up your water. Where are we going to get more when the centers take it all and we have a drought? Guess we hope it rains every day to fill the lakes.

What is a California Democrat congressman touring Ohio for? California, if any state, needs the most help in almost EVERY way. Maybe he wants to boost has-been Sen. Sherrod Brown’s slim chances in November. Sorry Ro, but we already got Brown and Ryan defeated for good! We were tired of them riding the coattails of unions, pretending they cared, but did NOTHING for jobs in Ohio. Brown lost 35,000 jobs and failed the Delphi retirees miserably! Goodbye forever, Sherrod Brown!

Jesus’ second highest commandment is to be woke. “Love your neighbor… and forgive your enemies.” MAGA conservatives hate such limits on their freedom of speech to systematically hate “the others”. They call “the Civil Rights Act” a big mistake because they want to discriminate based on race, gender, religion, and whatever hate du jour they fancy again. Thank God our Constitution and amendments morally forbid such false freedom that promotes the systematic denial of others’ rights and freedoms.

So Niles wants to be closer to the airport. Build your own downtown. Plenty of room. Under used and undeveloped!

Aaron Johnstone and Niles City Council have only one way to build their city; annexation is their only plan. They have no interest in developing the downtown or the land that they have. Their only solution is to take from their neighbors. They want Weathersfield to fight Bitdeer and they will then take the property when Weathersfield can’t afford to fight the data center. Does anyone believe that Niles didn’t have an agreement with Bitdeer? You can’t trust Niles!

Someone needs to explain to those sheriffs in recent campaign ads that school resource officers cost money. They also need to be schooled on the fact that sheriff departments are funded at the county level, not at the state level. You can’t cut taxes and add employees at the same time. So, please explain how you plan to fund school resource officers. These ads are a Republican scare tactic, fishing for votes. Parents, don’t fall for it.

Kudos to Judge O’Brien for fulfilling his responsibilities in Common Pleas Court! Unlike Judge Campbell, who “sentenced” a distracted driver guilty of vehicular homicide to probation and community service, O’Brien made a judicious decision in sentencing a drunken driver, guilty of severely injuring a woman, to two years in jail. I guess the differences were “distracted” versus “drunk” and “death” versus “severe injuries.” This is equal sentencing? Evidently, the jails were not overcrowded when O’Brien made his decision.

On May 9, my mail was delivered at 3:15 p.m., earlier than most days, and my Tribune, for the first time, was delivered with my mail. People who live miles away from Warren receive their Tribunes in a more timely (though still unacceptable) manner. Is this just another step on that slippery slope of reducing the number of days the Tribune is in print version, leading ultimately to digital form only? Just another sad state of affairs in Warren!

Trumbull County MAGA voters care more about ideology than effective government. MAGA voters prove they believe gullible rhetoric with a sprinkle of biblical Scripture. They possess a false sense of power. To avoid imminent disaster, all who care about the county must thwart ineffective ex-Ohio State Rep. Mike Loychik to keep him far away from the auditor’s office. All Trumbull County citizens deserve to be fully represented. This MAGA candidate is not capable of representing ALL citizens.

While Trump is spending millions (and billions) on paint and gilt, a ballroom, statues, and a major WAR, thousands of families have lost SNAP and health benefits. Thousands are out of work. His efforts to bankrupt a good portion of Americans are working. The 2025 Project is working hard to give him his dictatorship to rule over the people. The little king ‘to be’ is running amok among us. “Let them eat cake,” he says.

What is going on with this continuous digging? It looks like they are going over the same areas already done last year. What kind of information have we received prior to this starting last year? NONE. Should we have the option to pick if we even want it? Now, are they going back over again? Are these qualified utility working that know where and where not to dig and WHY do I not see this in any other city/township?
