The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following restrictions related to state Route 46 intersection improvements in Howland that will begin May 11 and continue through late October:

• Traffic on Route 46 southbound will not be able to turn onto East Market Street eastbound. The detour will be Route 46 south to state Route 82 east to Howland Wilson Road and back to East Market Street.

• Traffic on Route 46 northbound will not be able to turn onto East Market Street westbound. The detour is the same.

• Traffic on East Market Street westbound will not be able to turn left onto Route 46 southbound. The detour will be Howland Wilson Road to Route 82 to Route 46.

Also, Route 46 from north of East Market Street in Howland to state Route 5 in Cortland has various lane restrictions for pavement repairs through early May.

Starting Monday, state Route 193 between Gardner Barclay Road and Davis Peck Road will be closed through Friday for a culvert replacement. The detour will be state Route 88 to Route 46 to state Route 87.
