Commissioners agree to contract for EMA building

WARREN — The Trumbull County Commissioners are expected to approve awarding the Murphy Contracting Company a $395,750 contract for the Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency relocation and renovation project at 773 Everett Hull Road.

The county has been working to move the EMA office since 2025, when the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office moved into its location. Four other companies also bid on this contract. Proposed costs ranged from $448,191 to $781,100.

Commissioner Denny Malloy asked EMA Director John Hickey to pay extra attention to cost overruns because the Murphy Contracting Company’s bid was significantly less than the other bidders.

Starting at $3.23/week.
