WHAT: Board of education meeting Oct. 27

The board:

• Approved an agreement with the Lakeview Teachers Association for professional development reimbursement, which will increase from $25,000 per year to $29,311 per year for coursework taken in the 2024-25 school year.

• Approved a trip for the Lakeview baseball team to Greenville, North Carolina, April 1 to 5, 2026, for the Pitt County classic tournament.

• Approved the trip for the Superintendent’s Adventure Club to Sharon, Pa. on Nov. 13.

• Approved a Veterans Day observance at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the school complex.

• Established a United Way United 4 Kids Initiative grant fund in accordance with approval of a $72,000 United Way grant.

• Accepted the resignation of Margie Petrunia as a library aide effective June 1.

• Hired Kyleigh Lasko as a classroom educational aide on a one-year contract effective Oct. 20.

• Approved $5,000 for funding Ohio High School Athletic Association tournaments hosted at Lakeview schools.

• Approved supporting the Trumbull County Educational Service Center’s business advisory council.

• Approved a three-year service agreement with Northeast Ohio Management Information Network (NEOMIN) for internet protocol services from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.
