WHAT: Township trustees meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Steve Gerberry, Ed Whittaker and Richard Harkins

Trustees:

• Approved requiring the owner of property at 2291 Ohltown McDonald Road to demolish the structure, which has been declared unfit for human habitation.

• Set trick or treat 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

• Approved extending an agreement with Browning Ferris Industries Inc. / Republic Services of Youngstown for two years through December 2027. The basic service rate will be $18.70 per month with Republic Services offering residents, if they so choose, to recycle with the use of a 65-gallon or 95-gallon recycling cart for an additional fee of $1.60 per month. The fee for minimum generator subscribers is $3.25 per bag; the fee for construction debris is $16 per cubic yard; the fee for yard waste in excess of the weekly allotment is $5 per bag; and the fee for garage side pickup (for nonhandicapped customers) is $11 per month. The current basic service rate, which will end Dec. 31, is $17 per month.
