Bristol 3, Heartland Christian 1 — Bristol’s trio of Carson Weston, Wyatt Clisby, and Logan Briggs scored a goal each. Ethan Clark had 15 saves in goal for the Panthers.

Poland 2, Salem 0 — Salvatore Carramusa and Andreas Tsikouris each had a first half goal for Poland (7-0-2). Carramusa also added an assist for the Bulldogs.

Canfield 2, Howland 0 — In a battle of state ranked opponents, Canfield (7-1) blanked Howland behind goals from Ryan Dangol and Drew Snyder. Rocco Catheline made 10 saves in goal for the Cardinals.

Mineral Ridge 1, Liberty 0 — Mineral Ridge improved to 6-1 with the victory. No other stats were provided.

GIRLS SOCCER

Badger 5, Pymatiming Valley 0 — Ruby Smegal found the back of the net three times to lead the Badger (4-4,4-1 NAC) shut out. The Braves also got two goals and an assist from Maelyn Custer.

Bristol 3, Edgewood 2 — Lauren Church, Alexa Atchison, and Jenna Perris notched a goal each for Bristol. The Panthers goalie, Madison Armour had nine saves.

Springfield 1, Rootstown 0 — Springfield (6-2) recorded their fifth shutout of the season in a close victory. Rylie Wolfe scored the lone goal of the game, assisted by Adyson Gutierrez. Ally Guerriero made 11 saves in goal for the Tigers. Rootstown (4-4) goalie Addison Pownall made seven saves.

VOLLEYBALL

Heartland Christian 3, Youngstown East 2 — Heartland Christian dropped the first two sets before storming back to take down East 12-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-11, and 15-2. Makenna Wilson led Heartland with 21 assists, 12 digs, and one ace. Claire Liposky had 14 kills and Keagan Pruitt added nine kills and four aces.

Crestview 3, LaBrae 0 — Lainy Auer helped keep Crestview unbeaten (11-0, 9-0 MVAC) with 19 kills and 13 digs. Sophia Stewart contributed to the rebels offensive attack with 31 assists. Ally Magoulick and Riley Rowe had six kills each for LaBrae.

Ursuline 3, Heartland Christian 0 — No stats were provided.

Newton Falls 3, Champion 0 — Newton Falls swept Champion 25-22, 25-14, and 25-16. Jada Butcher and Karlie Murphy were dominate defensively for the Tigers with 16 and 10 kills respectively. Offensively, Torrie Fanton led the Tigers with 31 assists and 12 points.

Campbell 3, Sebring 0 — Daja Will had 33 assists and six aces to lead Campbell to a sweep over Sebring 25-10, 25-11, and 25-14. Jada Smith added 22 kills and 11 digs, while Kayla Coriano had 10 digs and six kills for the Red Devils.

Springfield 3, Western Reserve 0 — Baelyn Brungard had 24 kills for Springfield, putting her over 1,000 for her career. Brungard also added 14 points and 10 digs. Emily Conner also led the Tigers offense with 11 digs and 10 points. Makenna Wymer had 24 assists and nine digs for Springfield.

Columbiana 3, Lisbon 1 — Columbiana (9-0) remained unbeaten behind a strong outing from Addisyn Dangler with 18 kills, 10 points, five aces, one block, and one dig. The Clippers dropped just one set in the match with scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-15, and 25-11. Landry Smith added 15 kills, nine points, and two aces to keep the Clippers unbeaten.

Lakeview 3, South Range 1 — Lakeview defeated South Range 26-24, 23-25, 25-22, and 25-25. Lakeview got 42 assists from CeCe DeToro to pace the offense. Cady Esker had 13 service points, including six aces. The Bulldogs also got 17 kills from Ali Parise. South Range was led by contributions from Anna Toy with 21 kills, 25 digs, and three blocks, Addison Freedy with 22 digs, 20 assists, and one ace, and Parker Zwingler with 17 digs, 26 assists, and two aces.

Mathews 3, Badger 2 — Mathews edged Badger (5-6) in a game that went to the final set, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 20-25, and 15-10. Allison price had 21 digs and 15 kills for Badger. Kyleigh Hall added 18 assists and Bri Lendak had 12 serving points with one ace for the Braves.

Girard 3, Struthers 0 — Girard swept Struthers (4-8) 25-19, 25-13, and 25-17. Gianna Martin led Struthers with 18 blocks, five points, four kills and two aces.
